Christopher and Jessica Burke wedding photography album, March 12th, 2022

These photographs speak for themselves. The emotion that poured out on this special day was enough to make me break down and cry happy tears with the Bride, Groom and their loved ones. I am positive this was the first time I have cried at ANY wedding, and I have been to DOZENS. This wedding was full of love and adoration of each other as well as their family and faith. I hope you enjoy my spark notes below about my time photographing this wedding, as well as the Burke Wedding Photography Album.

The Beginning

I arrived early enough to capture the hair & makeup artist using her skills on this beautiful bride. This also allowed time for me to steal the dress and grab a few portraits by itself. I had an idea of the items I needed to photograph and HOW I needed to photograph them prior to arriving. I needed specific items to make the layouts shown below. Sidenote: I learned that I should have spent time capturing more of these items!! The couple chose to do a “First Look” prior to the ceremony. My heart was racing, I did not want to miss a single BEAT of this moment. I am overjoyed that I had a second photographer because I would not have been able to capture each angle by myself. The results were AMAZING! The look on his face between anticipation and in awe of his bride.. there are no words.

The Ceremony

Jessica and Chris chose a traditional ceremony with a few twists. Instead of a traditional unity candle, they chose to mix colored marbles in a jar to unite their love and commitment, this also included Jessica’s daughter, Abigail. (tears)
They wrote their own vows! I LOVE when people write their own vows, they are always amazing no matter how short or long. After making it through the nuptials AND the after ceremony family photos, we traveled to the cute bridge located on at the venue with the wedding party for a few celebratory “shots” with friends and the newly weds. (but not before I had a hangry melt down and needed a snack)

The Reception

My first intention when entering the reception hall was to snap several photos of the cake. However, when I found out that they had Del Norte from Godley Texas catering upon entry, It took everything I had to not cut in front of the bride and groom to eat ALL THE THINGS!! After dinner, the night was filled with endless dancing and singing. At the end of the evening, their family and friends sent them off using glowsticks! This was a first in my years of wedding photography. I completely forgot to ask why the glowsticks, but I assume it was due to the current drought we were in at the time.

I hope you enjoyed their gallery and unique Photo Album layout!
